Manchester United have repeatedly been linked with Jadon Sancho. The club reportedly bid for Sancho this summer, but were unwilling to bid the nearly 200 million that Dortmund demanded. However, it may be that United will have more luck wrestling Sancho free in next summer's transfer window. Dortmund should have become less stubborn in terms of holding on to the talented English winger. However, the German club has one condition for releasing Sancho, and that is that they are able to hold on to the coveted Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.

Dortmund's financial situation has been hit hard by Covid-19, and the club has gradually realized that they could be forced to sell one or two of their many star seeds to get things running. This may prove to be to Manchester United's advantage, as in that case they made the right decision by not buying Sancho in the summer of 2020. Now United have better cards in hand in the negotiations, which is further reinforced by the fact that Sancho has not been in just as good shape as last season.

What is going to happen this summer should be exciting to see. It may be that Dortmund prefer to sell Sancho over Haaland, but as the situation looks now, the demand is greatest for Haaland, and if all the big clubs end up in a bidding war for the Norwegian, then it may be difficult for Dortmund to keep their attacker wonder.
