27-year-old Julian Draxler may be past Paris Saint-Germain this summer as his contract with the club expires. The French may well extend the agreement, but the players affection to moving to his birthplace might make him move back to Germany

Draxler has recently been linked with Bayer Leverkusen, who are believed to be at the forefront of the battle for the German's signature. From 2011 until 2015, the offensive midfielder was a big player at Schalke 04, and he was proclaimed to be one of the greats in German football.

Since then, two seasons at Wolfsburg followed before the move in January 2017 to Paris. Now it seems that Draxler will have to resume his career in the Bundesliga if the homecoming is too strong for the German.

This season it has been 16 matches, and most recently the German has been in the starting line-up at Paris Saint-Germain.
