As a 19-year-old, Eder took the leap from Brazil to Europe and Empoli in Italy. It should prove to be the right decision for the striker, who managed to stay 12 years in the country and play over 350 matches in the Italian divided into Serie A and Serie B. After some years in China, the Brazilian with Italian citizenship now returns home to Brazil. He has signed a contract until December 2022 with Sao Paulo.

Eder played a total of 245 matches in Serie A. Most of these came during his time at Sampdoria, where he did so well that he ended up being nationalized and playing for the Italian national team. The good period also meant that he was brought to the big club Inter, where he managed to play 2.5 seasons before China came on the field.

The 34-year-old striker has over time played for a number of Italian clubs: Empoli, Casena, Frosinone, Brescia, Sampdoria and Inter. Here it was a total of 245 matches in Serie A, 60 goals and 27 assists. In addition, he got 26 games for Italy with six goals as a result.
