The position regarding the job as manager of Spurs haunts the backdrop after the defeats to Arsenal in the North London derby and the embarrassing exit in the Europa League after the 3-0 match against Dinamo Zagreb.

Today, Football Insider reports that there is a rift in the relationship between Jose Mourinho and the chairman of the board, Daniel Levy. It is certainly due to one situation, which includes a player sale that never came to anything.

In January, Jose Mourinho allegedly wanted to sell Dele Alli to Paris Saint-Germain, but that deal Daniel Levy would not accept happen. Levy valued the English national team player at 40 Million, which PSG in no way bothered to pay. After this, a possible loan agreement was discussed, but PSG would not pay the 11 Million required to hire Alli for the rest of the season. Therefore, Levy ended the negotiations, which has offended Jose Mourinho. Especially as the Portuguese manager is afraid of only being able to sell Dele Alli for half the price in this summer's upcoming transfer window.

At the time of writing, Tottenham are in sixth place in the Premier League, and are thus just about to miss the places that give access to next season's European football.
