At Premier League club Southampton, the team's biggest star, striker Danny Ings, is reluctant to sign a new contract. It was intended that Ings should have signed a new contract by the end of 2020, but now rumors have it that he may not want to continue at Southampton and that the club will not be able to pay the striker's required salary.

It has prompted league rivals Tottenham to look to the southern English club in hopes of perhaps luring Ings to the club from north London this summer, that according to Eurosports UK. Tottenham were already looking for the profiled striker this summer, but chose to hire Brazilian Marcos Vincius Jr. for the whole season.

It is not yet known whether Tottenham will pick last season's runners-up on the Premier League's top scorer list to give Harry Kane competition, or whether the London club have plans for Kane to be sold this summer, making Ings the new first choice on the team.
