Lhokseumawe | Communication Forum for Civil Society Organizations and OKP Guards for the Islamic Shari'a of Lhokseumawe City condemned Menpora football league activities for women at the Aceh Provincial level to be held at the PT Perta Arun Gas Stadium, Lhokseumawe. They demanded the Aceh Government and the Indonesian Student Football League Agency (BLiSPI) cancel the selection and sending of delegates of the Aceh U-17 women's soccer team to the national level.
The condemnation and demands were conveyed by the Coordinator of the CSO and CSO Communication Forum of the Shari'ah Guards of the City of Lhokseumawe, Tgk. Sulaiman Lhokweng, at a press conference at the Great Mosque of the Islamic Center of Lhokseumawe, Thursday, July 4, 2019, afternoon.
According to Tgk. Sulaiman Lhokweng, Communication Forum for Civil Society Organizations and OKP Guards for the Islamic Shari'a of Lhokseumawe City issued Decree (SK) Number: 024 / FK / LSM / 2019 on Refusing All Forms of Activities that Are Contrary to Islamic Shari'a and Aceh's Local Wisdom. This is related to the selection and determination of the Aceh Province team which has been and will be held on June 30 to July 14, 2019, at the PT PAG Stadium, Batuphat, Lhokseumawe City. Where the Aceh Province team will later participate in a tiered football league Menpora trophy or Menpora League in 2019 for the ages of 14, 16 and 17 female years which will be held from the end of July to the beginning of September 2019 nationally.
"Surely it is very unfortunate that in Aceh there have been women's soccer leagues for ages 14, 16 and 17 years. The whole OKP and CSOs are united to reject the activity," he said.
According to him, the selection and sending of delegates from the U-17 Acehnese women's soccer team to the national level were contrary to the spirit of the Acehnese people. For this reason, his party demanded the management of PT PAG Stadium to be more selective in giving place permits, especially activities that were considered contrary to Islamic law and local wisdom in Aceh.
"We also demand an apology from BLiSPI to all Muslims in Lhokseumawe City and Aceh in general. Because it has hurt the feelings and local wisdom of the Acehnese people, by exploiting Acehnese women in the field of football," he said.
"This concerns the spirit of the Acehnese people. The government, in this case, the Governor of Aceh must see the activities carried out by related parties so that there is no activity. This means that the activity must have a positive value and also guarantee how Islamic law will take place in Aceh. for this daughter is very sad, and even we as Acehnese people are ashamed of other provinces. How come there are still events like this especially in Aceh, "said Tgk. Solomon.
Tgk Sulaiman continued, his party had agreed that women's football must be stopped immediately because it was feared that later there would be people who could not control their emotions and do not let things happen that are not desirable.
"We remember that this is not just an ordinary loss, but this is a very extraordinary loss," he concluded.
