Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Fundal, Portugal on February, 1985.

 His full name is Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro. His mother's name is Maria Dolores Dos Santos Aveiro. His father died when he was young, his name was Jose Dinis Aveiro. The name ‘Ronaldo’ in Cristaino Ronaldo was taken from the name of former Hollywood actor and ex-us President Ronald Reagan due to his father’s love and respect for Ronald Reagan

Cristiano Ronaldo is my favorite footballer and sportsperson. He inspires and motivates me. He has millions of fans around the world. He is the main reason why I started following and playing this sport.

His first step towards professional football came when he signed for Portuguese Club Sporting CP. While at Sporting, he was diagnosed with a medical condition called ‘Racing Heart’. This condition was capable of derailing his footballing career and dreams.

But Cristiano was determined to overcome this problem. With the help of his club, he underwent a corrective surgery.

He has represented famed clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, currently playing in Juventus.

At International level, he has represented Portugal at various levels. The highlight of his International career came when he captained his side to Euro 2016 title, beating France in their home. This earned his the status of ‘Legend’ in Portugal.

Cristiano is a true professional. He leads a very disciplined lifestyle. He is known to follow a strict diet and exercise routine. He loves to take care of his body and fitness.

Ronaldo, unsurprisingly, takes his diet very seriously.

 "A good workout must be combined with a good diet," he states. "I eat a high protein diet, with lots of wholegrain carbs, fruit and vegetables, and avoid sugary foods."



Cristiano Ronaldo is also well known for his philanthropic work. He regularly takes part in social work activities, blood donation campaigns, charity activities.

The 32 year old's most recent philanthropic project will be to fund the construction of a paediatric hospital in Santiago, Chile, as part of a joint venture with Italian businessman Alessandro Proto  with others to follow in more South American cities.

Earlier this year, the Portugal captain auctioned off his 2013 Ballon d'Or trophy for £600,000, with all the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

In 2016, he made a generous donation to Save the Children for food, clothing and medical care to help the plight of children in Syria.

On and Off the field, he is an icon and role model. He inspires millions of fans across the world. When he retires, he will go down as one of the greatest footballers of all time!
