In the world of football there are many successful coaches who weren’t professional footballers. And they say that the coaches are more successful if they were not a professional football players. Or they didn’t achieve good results. After all, it's not a fact that an excellent football player will become an excellent coach. DIEGO SIMEONE

Simeone completed his playing career in 2006. And on April 15, 2009 Simeone had been already appointed the head coach of the football club San Lorenzo. On April 4 in 2010 Simeone resigned after 7 losses in the last 12 matches. His managerial career was not successful at once. However in 2011 he managed to win Europa League with Atletico Madrid.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE

The greatest in the history of football. In his childhood Zinedine was fond of judo (he had a green belt). Also was fond of skateboarding and cycling but his main talent displayed in football. He began his football career in 1988. The real popularity came to Zidane in 1996 when he became a Juventus player. In 2001 he moved to Real Madrid although the contract with Juventus was till 2005. His coaching career started in 2013 and lasted until 2018. It’s hard to find the right words to describe Zidane as a player and as a manager. He proves that it’s possible to be both an outstanding footballer and a talented coach.
