Few hours ago Juventus announce the sacking of Maurizio Sarri has their manager, but the Italian giant wasted no time in in appointing former midfield Andrea Pirlo as their new head coach. Andrea Pirlo was appointed as the Juventus under 23 team one week ago. The unfortunate sacking of former coach Sarri has led to his promotion.

Juventus joins the trend of clubs appointing former players which has been happening quite alot recently such as Ole Gunnar Solskjær for Man United, Mikel Arteta for Arsenal and Lampard for Chelsea.

Pirlo who joined the Juventus side from Ac Milan in 2011 won four Serie A title before leaving in 2015.

Juventus believe Pirlo is the right man for the job because he know their style of play, and are confident he has what it takes to lead the team to glory and success. Juventus also believe he will do well in his new position as he was as a player in the club.
