Real Madrid has excepted defeat in their bid to keep Mateo Kovačić 

at the club. According to Marca the midfielder will now sign for Chelsea and play the entire 2018/19 campaign there on loan. Kovačić has reiterated his desire to leave the club and reports on monday had suggested he was boycotting pre season training with Real Madrid Club.
