The Community Shield that was played yesterday has once again eluded Liverpool for two years counting. The reds suffered a setback when they played Manchester City last year, Sadio Mane’s side have lost to Arsenal this time around.
Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opening goal gave the gunners a good lead throughout most of the match. Unfortunately, Takumi Minamino’s equalizer 15 minutes from time meant that Jurgen Klopp’s side finished stronger, but not strong enough to clinched the title.
Since that match ended 1:1, the two teams were forced to decide on penalty shootout. This session favored Arsenal who were apparently more skillful in front of the goal post.
After the sad event, a hilarious sight caught the attention of the Reds fans. The reds had fun on Twitter with the reaction on Sadio Mane’s face and his team mates, which were completely distorted when their teammate Brewster missed his penalty shot.
