The Former Arsenal Captain's goal gave Barcelona the win at Real Sociedad as they go second on the top of the Laliga table.

It was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ninth goal in Laliga Santander having easily dispatched Ferran Torres's cross with a well placed header to give Barca the early lead in the first half after Ousmane Dembele's shot had struck the post but Real Sociedad were a threat through out the duration of the match in which Barca goalie had to save well from Alexander Sorloth while squandering several chances in the half.

Second half saw an object thrown in the pitch which delayed the game for a few minutes in which Real Sociedad put a more fighting spirit than the first half but could not seem to put the ball in the back of the net as Marc Andre Ter Stegen was equal to the task of keeping the ball from the net with fine saves as Barca grinded out the result to see them secure second place in the Laliga table with 15 points behind Leaders Real Madrid with five games to go while for Real Sociedad, the defeat sees them in sixth place but they still have the chance to qualify for the Champions league with five games to go and just a six point deficit from fourth placed Athletico Madrid.
