Brentford is considering signing Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen after speaking to the player.
After his cardiac arrest during the Euros for Denmark against Finland in which he had a pacemaker fitted in him. The former inter Milan player had his contract terminated by the Milan club by mutual agreement due to the rule in Serie A which states that players with implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) are not allowed to compete in Serie A.
With no such regulation in the premier league. Brentford is hoping to beat other premier league clubs to the signing of the Denmark playmaker. Although there is no agreement between both parties, Brentford will feel that with Manager Thomas Frank being a Dane and Eriksen expressing his desire to play in the World Cup at Qatar, they should have the advantage to get his signature.
