Brentford has announced the signing of Denmark International Christian Eriksen on a six-month deal. Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's match against Finland at the Euro 2020.

He had an implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) which is a type of pacemaker fitted in his heart. He was in Inter Milan at the time in which he won the Serie A title but because of the Serie A rule which states that "players fitted with an ICD will not be allowed to view in the league". The 29-year-old had always expressed his desire to play for the Denmark team in the World Cup in Qatar. He has been training for the opportunity to play ever since.

He is no stranger to the premier league after seven years with Tottenham seeing him in the final of the Champions League in 2019 and playing 305 games with 69 goals for the North London side.
