With the defeat at the hands of Aston villa, Norwich were relegated from the premier league. Norwich were relegated as a result of the defeat and also due to Burnley's win at Watford as they were left rock bottom with just 13 point deficit from safety with just four games to go. To be honest, we all knew this day will come, it was not a question of "how" but "when".

Goals from Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings were enough to see them end their five games winless run as they go 13th on the premier league log. Norwich are no novices to being relegated having already got the unwanted record of being the premier league side to have been relegated the most (6) with fact that this makes it the third successive time.

WHAT WENT WRONG FOR NORWICH CITY?

At the time, Norwich were getting promoted. There have questions regarding the hierarchy refusal to spend big after a promotion. Their refusal cost them as they been relegated, don't get wrong but we know of teams that have spent big and still got relegated with the likes of newly promoted Fulham coming to mind but fact goes that you can't expect to be at the top tier of football with spending the bucks if you want to stay there.

The lack of big money signing has not been just the problem as a good defence is always needed with Norwich City on a -49 goal difference coupled with the side having the fewest shot on goals (336), fewest shots on target (100) and lowest conversion rate at 7% just about sum their season.

Manager Dean Smith has spoken about plans in place for their return to the top tier. Norwich do have the prudency and dexterity to come to the top flight as we have seen but do they have the staying power? we'll see

BYE NORWICH, THANKS FOR THE FREE POINTS THOUGH AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN 👍🏻😁
