Ousmane Dembele has been informed by the Catalan Club to leave the club due to his "lack of commitment to the project". The 24-year-old will become a free agent by the end of the season with Barcelona stating the fact that all contract talks between both parties have been repeatedly foiled by the player and his agent. Dembele became the second most expensive signing at the Nou Camp when he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 in a deal worth €135.5m but his repeated injuries and lack of professionalism has seen him miss more games than he played. Although he has been warned by manager Xavi Hernandez about making up his mind in staying with the club or leaving but seeing now that it is obvious he wants to jump ship. Barcelona will be hoping on cashing out on him this January transfer window with France forward being linked to the likes of Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Liverpool.
