As much as I find it amusing as a rival fan to watch the Almighty Barcelona struggle to win matches this season, I found it to be more perplexing that they would go 6 consecutive away games from start of season without a win. That has not happened since like FOREVER.
Who would have thought that the Barcelona that swept past teams with ease just few seasons ago, with a monstrous Lionel Messi constituting nuisance in the opponent's half day in, day out would today struggle to beat relegation threatened teams and go 6 consecutive away games without a win? This serves as a reminder that life is a revolving process and nothing lasts forever.
Well, 7 was the lucky charm for Barcelona as they held on to win the Yellow submarines Villareal in front of their own fans, even though the referee officiating the encounter made some terrible decisions against Villareal.
The odds are pointing to returning Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandes as coach bringing good tidings as he has earned them that much needed away win against one of the top teams in Spain and there's some sort of positive signs at the club. This away win against Villareal would do a whole lot of good to the morale of the Barcelona team.
