For a start, it’s been a while I sat down with my device to cook up an article for Scorum due to some off-line engagements and I wholeheartedly apologize for you missing Austino on here.

It has been all joyful for me since the season ended last month and the transfer window, despite carrying a lot of speculations, tension and anxiety, we fans of Real Madrid are finally going to smile into the new season.

Real Madrid had a season to forget last season, a very horrible and terrible one that saw the team coached by three different coaches before the season ran out. French coach Zinedine Zidane, the man that took them to three consecutive Uefa Champions League title before handing over his badge in a manner that left everyone stunned and confuzzled took up the baton again.

Zidane was called up to manage the team close to the end of last season and even though the matches he oversaw weren't up to expectations, it was quite understandable that their season is officially over before his arrival and it is only normal if the French coach lose matches for tweaking with his formation and team.

It has come to our understanding recently the apparent reason why Zidane left the team after winning his third consecutive Uefa Champions League title with Real Madrd last two seasons. The French coach was said to demand the right and freedom to select and acquire players he feel would promote his team but was shut down at each request and when he saw that the oxygen available in the team was about exhausting with no solution in sight, he balled out before fingers turn to his face.

Zidane’s re-recruitment is said to mean one thing, and that is the handing over of transfer activities to him or at least, give him a listening ear and that is one of the major reason Belgian EDEN HAZARD is part of the team today. The French coach was reported to be a fan of the Belgian talent right from when he was putting on the number 26 jersey shirt for Lille in France, he alongside defender Raphael Varane was scouted by then Real Madrid official and yet-to-be coach and recommended for Real Madrid but only the France defender was bought and Hazard was said to be allowed to roam around freely and survive to prove himself worthy of recruitment, more like a gamble from the Real Madrid board.

A year later, Hazard would be seen donning the popular blue shirt of Chelsea Fc and the Belgian star went on to improve himself and win everything there is to win in his 8 years with the London club before Real Madrid finally called him by name and this time, splashing a whooping 100million Euros on the star, a fee that is quite absurd considering if he was signed when Zidane scouted him in 2010. Quick question, what if Hazard failed to realize his full potential or play to the level he is playing at today if he had signed for Real Madrid at that time? Let’s not complicate our minds dear ones and enjoy the Hazard moment.

Hazard is just one of the few stars signed by Real Madrid ahead of the upcoming season. Defender Diego Militao from FC Porto, Brazilian winger Rodrygo from Santos and striker Luka Jovic from Eintract Frankfurt are the other three additional talents to the huge squad heading into the 2019/2020 football season and I couldn't be more happier with these recruitments and the state of the squad. Anticipate more news from the Real Madrid angle as I drop my pen at this juncture.
