With the departure of talisman and record goalscorer for the team Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, the odds of winning the Uefa Champions League by the whites is stacked against them. In other words, they would be looking to prioritize the Spanish cup for a chance to win a major trophy in case they fail in the league and the prestigious European competition.

Their last triumph came against Alaves, a 2-1 home win in this same competition early last month/year. Would they be getting an opportunity to win their first match of the year against Real Madrid?
