It is true that Real Madrid is the best club team in football and hold the highest record for major trophies domestically and internationally and it is only normal that the space in the team is just for superstars, which automatically means any player you do not find in the team or do not see the team pursuing is simply not a superstar, really?

This blessing of Real Madrid mesmerizing any upcoming super talent is fast becoming a curse and it is one curse the team is calling upon themselves time and time again. A season or two of brilliance from Gareth Bale at Tottenham found the Welshman next at the Bernabeu. A season or two of wonders from Dani Ceballos found the Spaniard’s next ship enroute Real Madrid. A season or period of absolute wonder from James Rodriguez found the Colombian flirting with Real Madrid despite just signing a six year contract with then team, As Monaco. All Real Madrid does is come out publicly with their intentions and flaunt their wealth thereby seducing some teams/players into abandoning their serious journey to success with the deluded impression that they are coming to the best team in the world, is that all it is for you as a footballer?

As a matter of fact, the aforementioned players who were bought by the club for wowing the world for a period of time are currently considered surplus to requirements and have been on the headlines for no other reason than “I am up for sale but no one is willing to pay for me”, which is very disheartening considering how talented these players are.

Our thoughts have majorly been more centred on Gareth Bale simply because he has been with the team for close to six years and has been subject to speculations for the past two three seasons forgetting that there is another star in quite the same situation as Gareth in the squad.

James Rubio Rodriguez who lit the 2014 World Cup before been bought by Real Madrid appears to be unwanted by Zidane, reason best known to the French coach because it is quite apparent what talent hides behind that pretty face of the Colombian and what he has to offer, why he is considered surplus to requirements and the team negotiating a sale is something I still cannot get a hold of.

If you are thinking of leaving the James Rodriguez of 2014 World cup, even the dumbest of living thing on earth would think you have gone nuts. Till date the Colombian might have lost some of his confidence but he is still the same super James with a wonderful left foot we were once accustomed to watching few years back. The Colombian was set to join former coach Ancelotti at Napoli but with Marco Asensio’s injury, there are reports both he and Gareth Bale would stay, on the bench? That remains to be seen.
