For too long has Barcelona FC enjoyed Spanish dominance while the Spanish capital club, Real Madrid has apparently focused more on European trophies but everything is currently pointing to a change?
Real Madrid Football Club are currently league leaders, two points above second placed Barcelona. This is the first time in a long time the whites are dominating the Blauguarana club after eight fixtures has been played.
Unfortunately, Real Madrid appear to sacrificing the Uefa Champions League for the La Liga as evident with their one point in two games and ineffective European display contrary to the seriousness they have shown in the league.
In the real sense, the whites have not been all that encouraging in the league and would most likely not be league leaders today if not for some inconsistent displays from other top title contenders. However, we are not disputing the fact that Real Madrid are currently showing signs of seriousness and willingness to snatch the league trophy away from Barcelona and end their two years dominance, the question is, would it last?
Zinedine Zidane currently has a selection headache in his team which is actually a blessing in disguise. With this current Real Madrid team, well covered in all positions, Los Blancos are definitely looking like title winners but we will have to wait for El Clasico come end of October, that could be the ultimate decider match.
