The past two weeks has been very tough, unfavorable and unbelievable for Real Madrid and their fans after they lost three consecutive very important matches that apparently ended any hopes they have of a silverware this season.
It all started with a loss against Barcelona that saw them exit the Spanish Copa Del Rey at the semifinals and another loss to Barcelona in the league fixture, taking them 15 points below top spot. Another loss to Ajax sawthem fail to defend their European crown as they had to exit in the round of 16. A SEASON TO FORGET FOR THE WHITES!
To add salt to injury, Real Madrid not only lost those matches, they lost their brightest attackers in Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vasquez to injuries and there are reports Gareth Bale and Mariano won't be available either, leaving Asensio and Brahaim Diaz the attacking options to support Karim Benzema.
Against Valladolid is a chance for Real Madrid to get back to winning ways after they last won at Levante 3 weeks ago. With Valladolid struggling in the relegation zone, they would fight to keep a depleted Real Madrid team without their brightest attackers and some players in poor form. Toni Kroos who is but a shadow of himself lately should be given the rest while Valverde or Dani Ceballos takes his place and Marcos Llorente continues his recovery from injury as Casemiro continues in the starting line up.
Anything other than a win here would be unacceptable from the Madrid fans and it will also push further the motion to sack Santiago Solari.
