This is by no means a factual article but rather, words from the perspective of a true fan of Real Madrid.

We are almost getting towards the half way of the 2019/2020 season and Real Madrid FC are experiencing what I call a roller-coaster ride of a season in which they have bottled up opportunities to be seen at the top but answered very well when it is much needed.

In La Liga, they sit second, tied on points with leaders Barcelona who is leading with goal difference. Real Madrid was unbeaten in the league up until the 11th match day of the season. Their loss came against a relegation threatened team in Real Mallorca; the least team everyone thought would break their unbeaten record.

That loss came as a result of the incompetency of Zinedine Zidane as a coach which transcended into the poor players he set out against them. A much needed Champions league would follow, alongside a Leganese thrashing but just when the club needed a win to climb top table in the Spanish league against a team battling down the table, they couldn’t get it and had to settle for a goalless draw which still leaves them 2nd in the league.

Tomorrow, Real Madrid will be expected to make a positive statement concerning their Uefa Champions League knockout stage qualifying hopes against Galatasaray. The whites have lost 1, drawn 1 and won 1 in their first three games of the Uefa Season. Another win tomorrow would see them remain 2nd with 7 points and their chances of qualifying all the more secure.

Conclusion

As a Real Madrid fan, I only hope for the incessant progress of the team but based on facts, Zinedine Zidane is known to be a man of the last hour. When you underrate him the most is when he leaves you with your palm supporting your jaw.Real Madrid from my own probably biased perspective is going to enter the 2nd half stage of the season stronger and better, firing on all cylinders but only time will prove this wrong or right.
