I really cannot tell what exact wrong we humans have done to watch our world tumbling right in front of us. Mankind is fighting a war on all fronts and it is true that we basically brought this upon ourselves, it is not to be disputed that not everyone deserves it.
Financially, medically, socially, morally, spiritually, it is all going to ground zero. Everything is on a decline mode and there seem to be no salvaging options in sight.
On the aspect of soccer, one of the most beautiful social events that brings the world together as one is threatened by some disease of unknown origin (Covid-19). This is a disease that once halted activities worldwide, even our dearest sport, and looked like it was dealt and done with only to begin another uprising.
Many league games have been postponed with teams reporting numerous cases of the virus that has led them to submit a depleted squad for matches. The virus appears to be spreading wide and fast that it is reported there would most likely be another shutdown of soccer plays.
We barely managed to live out those months of 2020 without soccer matches and there would be another shutdown? Terrible I tell you. One can only hope this virus do not deprive us of the one thing that gives us ultimate joy once in a while, even though it only lasts for 90 minutes.
