In the next seven days, Real Madrid's season is likely to be decided after they play Manchester City in the first leg of the Uefa Champions League and then a la liga fixture is next with Barcelona on Sunday.

The whites surrendered their lead in the la liga table to Barcelona with a disappointing loss to Levante last weekend. Zinedine Zidane and his team is quite unfortunate to be returning to a rollercoaster mode they seem to have set aside. The whites began the season in terrible fashion, losing their first Uefa Champions League to PSG in an embarrassing manner and then to a relegation threatened team in Mallorca in the league.

That Mallorca loss seemed to have awoken the beast in Real Madrid as they embarked on a series of impressive winning streak and looked like real champions until recently.

It all started to fall apart with the elimination from Copa Del Rey at the hands of Real Sociedad. They won their next match, drew the next and lost another this weekend, now trailing Barcelona by two points heading into the El Clasico this weekend.

Real Madrd's next two matches is likely to decide their season as they seek to gain ground in the two remaining competitions they are available in.
