Real Madrid cruised past Granada 4-1 to keep the pressure on leaders Atletico Madrid in the title race in Spanish La Liga.

Veteran star Luka Modric put the visitors in front in the 17th minute before Rodrygo extended the lead with a fine solo goal in the stoppage time of the first half.

Jorge Molino pulled one back for Granada in the last quarter of the game, in the 71th minute.

However within moments the defending champions scored two quick fire goals to put the match to bed.

Substitute Eden Hazard set up Alvaro Odriozola in the 75th minute before Karim Benzema completed the rout by scoring into an open post a minute later.

The comfortable win against the mid table side ensures that Zinedin Zidane's side will go to the penultimate game week with two points behinds city rivals Atletico Madrid on top.

Diego Someone's side could win the title on Sunday if they beat Osasuna and Real fail to defeat Atletico Bilbao.
