Before England met Sweden at the World Cup quarter-final, David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, concluded a curious bet with much at stake.

In case of Sweden's victory, Beckham would have to buy Zlatan anything he wanted from IKEA for his new mansion in Los Angeles.

But since England beat the Scandinavians 2:0 and Ibrahimovich lost the bet, now he is obliged to accompany Beckham to an England match at Wembley, wearing the Three Lions' shirt, and to each the traditional English fish-and-chips at the break.

It seems like Zlatan will keep his word. "David, we made a bet. I lost,"  the striker told the British media.

"I'm coming to Wembley to watch England game in the England shirt and eat fish and chips.

"Just give me time to breathe and to cool down. After the loss. But it's okay. I'm looking forward to the game."

Ibrahimovic and Beckham had a short spell together at Paris Saint-Germain, and now Zlatan is at LA Galaxy, the MLS club Beckham played for between 2007 and 2012.

Ibrahimovic will have a chance to honor the bet on 8 September, when England are scheduled to host Spain in a Nations League match at Wembley.
