When chocolatiers in Moscow came to know that Lionel Messi would be celebrating his birthday during the World Cup season - they all decided to present him a chocolaty gift.

Russian capital's Altufyevo Confectionary Shop spent nearly a week with five workers making a life-size chocolate sculpture of the super star.

The birthday cake of Messi weighs 132lb (60kg).

The cake might cheer up Messi (pictured) who has been underpressue for his World cup performances during the first round of the tournament in Russia.

The chief confectioner Daria Malkina said she had been in touch with Messi's representatives about handing him the sculpture.

'We will give Lionel Messi to Lionel Messi,' Malkina said, laughing.
