Middlesbrough v Brentford - Championship

Middlesbrough enter their second match of the season following an exciting fixture last week when they were involved in a 3:3 spectacle against Luton. The mentioned match was filled with chances on both sides and it made it clear Middlesbrough will not shy away from playing aggressive football this season. That more times than not comes at a cost of conceding a couple of goals too many, which indicates Middlesbrough will most likely be seen participating in some high scoring matches throughout the season.

Brentford on the other side lost their opening match of the season against Birmingham, who defeated them 0:1 on their home ground. The result, however, does not show the real picture of how the match went. Brentford were arguably the better side and realistically should have won with a couple of goals margin. A total of 15 goal attempts did not produce any goals for Brentford, while Birmingham managed to use their one chance to its full potential. All in all, Brentford played well but were unfortunate they failed to use their chances well enough.

Middlesbrough offensive strength does not need any introduction, and the same can be said for Brentford, who produced a 70% ball possession and 15 goal attempt match in game one. They, as mentioned, failed to utilize their chances, however, we cannot expect that to continue, especially if they continue producing such numbers.

With two strong offensive teams clashing with each other, we expect an exciting match with plenty of goal scoring opportunities. If Brentford manage to replicate their performance from game one and should Middlesbrough be as deadly with the ball as they were against Luton, this match will easily reach 3 goals.

Prediction: Over 2.50 goals

Leeds v Nottingham Forest - Championship

Leeds and Nottingham Forest will square off at Elland Road this weekend in what promises to be one of the most exciting matches of the weekend Championship matches.

Last week, Leeds defeated Bristol in a convincing fashion (1:3) to secure the best possible start of the season. While seeing Leeds come away victorious is not surprising, we were impressed by their playstyle, which has its own identity. When trying to find who the culprit for their improvement is, we don't need to look further than Marcelo Bielsa. who needed only two years to take Leeds to another level.

Nottingham Forest on the other side came one short against West Brom in their season-opening match. Unlike Leeds who have an established coach, Nottingham enter the 2019/20 season with Sabri Lamouchi as a replacement for Martin O'Neill. In addition to that, Nottingham also signed a couple of new faces in hopes to improve upon their 9th place finish last season.

Leeds are the favorites to walk away with the second W here, which is fair despite losing Kemar Roofe during summer. Nonetheless, the team did not look any weaker in game one, where they produced a total of 18 goal attempts and four shots on goal, clearly indicating they still got the needed firepower. While we talk about offensive strength, Nottingham Forest are not too bad either. They did lose 1:2 to West Brom in game one, but at the same time produced 15 goal attempts and four shots on goal and much like Leeds could've scored at least one more goal considering all the chances they had.

As it may seem obvious we will go for goals in this match. Both teams have showcased they know how to attack with the ball and create chances. Leeds might be better at using their chances, nonetheless, Nottingham are not to be underestimated. Furthermore, the opening matches of Championship seem to have more goals than usual, meaning and if we combine all that an over 2.5 bet is very appealing.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
