Sarpsborg enters the upcoming fixture as one of the few teams that have not yet tasted defeat in 2019 season of Eliteserien, however, if they will want to keep the title of an unbeaten team, they will need to prove themselves against the newcomers Mjondalen, at Sarpsborg Stadion on April 27th.

Sarpsborg will come into the next match as the 7th team in Eliteserien and with a 1-3-0 record. While they have not yet tasted a defeat this season, Sarpsborg cannot be too satisfied with 3 out of 4 matches ending in a draw.

Looking back, Sarpsborg managed to defeat Lillestrom (1:0), however only managed to grab a point from Molde (1:1), Haugesund (1:1) and Bodo/Glimt (1:1). Their biggest concern is the lack of goals Sarpsborg attack can produce. As it stands now, they only managed to score once in each match, which is not nearly enough if they wish to fight for top spots in the league.

On the other side, Sarpsborg have been quite impressive in other departments. With only 3 goals conceded up until now, they are ranked as the 2nd best defensive team in the league.

Overall, Sarpsborg are a good team, who despite lacking individual star players does work well as a group, and with a great coach Geir Bakke, Sarpsborg future does look promising going forward.

The visiting side, Mjondalen are currently sitting at 10th spot in the league with a 1-1-2 record. While they had a poor start of the season, when they lost both of the opening matches against Valerenga (2:0) and Bodo/Glimt (4:5), Mjondalen managed to grab 4 points in the next two matches, when they won against Stromsgodset (2:3) and drew the most recent match against Tromso (1:1).

One thing that we noticed from the newcomers is that they have a terrible defence, which conceded 10 goals in the span of 4 games. That alone makes Mjondalen the worst defensive team in the league. To be fair, they could easily concede more than "only" 10 goals up until now, as I would argue they were lucky the number stopped at 10. While it's true Mjondalen only conceded 1 in their last match against Tromso, there were a few great chances which should end in a goal in most cases. All in all, Mjondalen disastrous defence will be their doom this season.

The home side, Sarpsborg does have some issues in the offensive end, as they only scored 4 goals so far. The duo of Steffen Lie Skålevik and Jorgen Strand Larsen have been mediocre in the first 4 fixtures, however, there is still hope for them to "pop off" and start producing more goals. All they need is one good match which would give them a chance to score a few goals and work from there. The upcoming match against Mjondalen is exactly that, as they possess one of the worst defences in the league. Should Sarpsborg start scoring goals to get into form, the upcoming match exactly what they need to get the "ball rolling" so to speak.

All things considered, Sarpsborg should be able to win this one with relative ease. While they were not too impressive with their goal scoring up until now, the goals should come easier against Mjondalen. On the other side, Mjondalen simply don't have the team to threaten Sarpsborg. Occasional chance could pop up for them, but I don't expect to see anything more than that. Expect a dominant performance from the home side and all 3 points for Sarpsborg
