Belgian Axel Witsel has been around the world of football. He has performed for both Belgian Standard Liege, Portuguese Benfica, Zenit Skt. Petersburg in Russia and Chinese TJ Tianhai. Since 2018, however, he has played for the German big team Dortmund. But that may very well soon be a thing of the past.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is very interested in bringing the Belgian midfielder to Turin. Witsel's contract with Dortmund expires next summer, so if they want to make money on a sale, it has to be this summer.

Juventus have already signed Italian European Championship profile Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo this summer, but do not appear to be ready to upgrade their midfield. Witsel is reportedly at the top of Allegri's wish list.

Witsel has managed to play 109 games for Dortmund and has scored 11 goals and made assists.
