Manchester city won their third league title in may

It's quite the 'grass to grace' story, somewhat incredible and deeply inspiring.

In 2008 Manchester city were on the brink of collapsing as a football club, numerous debts,no identity and no structure, nothing seemed to be happening at the club, but then, out of nowhere something amazing happened,so amazing that it was about to change Manchester city, the premier league and the football landscape forever

Manchester city had seemingly gone from being a heavily indebted club to being credited as the richest football club in the world, very much in the flash of a pan,it seemed like a story out of a fairytale book, and all of it was down to one man from the Middle East, Sheikh mansour and his Abu Dhabi united group, that was the deal that no doubt changed and upset the balance of the premier league forever

A decade on,and Manchester city have been transformed into a big club not only in England but also in europe

But the biggest highlight however in all of this story was the way and manner in which they streamrolled to their third premier league title last season under the tutelage of a world class manager and with a world class team

For the longest time, Manchester city were on the backfoot of English football, and had watched their city rivals establish a dominant foothold in england, but it won't be entirely damning to suggest that history is about to repeat itself again, but this time,in the blue side of Manchester.

But just what exactly are Manchester city about to do ?

That's a question that is slowly but steadily getting a rather unwanted answer, with each passing game

Pep guardiola and his Robot-like team made a huge mockery of the premier league's status as the competitive league in the world last season,in which they outrightly dominated the league, smashing every record that came their way,and now there is a growing sense of optimism amongst every one affiliated with the club, that they could extend that dominance for years to come, and maybe not just in England

Are city borrowing a leaf out of United's old book

Who ? Says you can't get inspired by your rivals, well at least no one told Manchester city that, the club has made it no secret that they wan't to dominate the premier league like Manchester united did, but building a dynasty such as the one united did would prove an almost unmatchable feat, but ambition is one thing that seems to keep the club going

Why Premier league teams should be wary of this

Manchester city are not resting on their laurels of last season, and this has been proven by the way they've started the defence of their title

They don't just have a masterclass manager at the dugout, they have a have an equally good team, with a ruthless end product and that predatory ability to override teams, and if that is not convincing enough let's not forget, they still have the financial backing of the Abu Dhabi united group

It could seem to many that the club have bought success with money, but while that is arguable, "money only gives you might, you still need to fight to be this bright" and the club couldn't care less, they could just be writing their own book here at the etihad stadium.

What do you think guys,I 'd love to know your thoughts on this, can man city be stopped ?
