Wolves vs Tottenham

The premier league returns as we have quite a number of exciting fixtures coming up next. It has been an amazing champions league and Europa league week as we now turn our attention to domestic games that kicks off tomorrow. Spurs face a tricky test tomorrow as they set to face Wolves away at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves began the season very poorly but have managed to find their feet and are now in the top 6. They are currently sitting on 6th position on the table, and are on level points with Man United who are in 5th. They have another great opportunity to replace Man United in 5th if they get the all-important 3 points at home against Spurs. This is a very difficult game for them especially playing against a Jose Mourinho side and a Spurs team who are rejuvenated at the moment, however, Wolves have shown that they have what it takes to get the job done against the top teams.

Expected formation and tactics – Wolves will be expected to set up in a 3-5-2 formation. This is a very important game for them, as a win could see them move above Man United, if United somehow fails to get 3 points in the fixture. As usual, Wolves gameplay will be to stay very disciplined at the back, without giving the Spurs players any spaces behind, while keeping their eyes on counter-attacking opportunities to capitalize on.

Spurs have looked rejuvenated ever since they took the bold step to hire Jose Mourinho and have won most of the games they have played so far under Jose. Another huge test for Jose Mourinho as his Spurs side is set to face a very tough battle against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium tomorrow. This is a really tricky fixture for Spurs in their quest to claim a spot in the top 4, as Wolves have shown that they are truly the nemesis to the big teams.

Expected formation and tactics – Spurs will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. A tough game for them, but they have what it takes to get the job done in this fixture. Their gameplan will be to not give Wolves counter-attacking opportunities to exploit and at the same time create chances however it comes to get the job done.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
