It has been an amazing African Cup of Nations tournament so far, lots of excitements not only for the supporters but for football lovers as well. Looking at how the competition is going so far, lots of expectations this Sunday as the 4 semifinalists are all favorites for the trophy which makes Sunday's game not only a difficult encounter for the teams involve but also a nerve-racking one as two nations will face elimination from the tournament.

Senegal vs Tunisia

Senegal

Senegal have never won this competition, the highest they have reached in the previous editions of the AFCON tournament was as runner up, back in 2002 and 3 times 4th place finish, which makes Sunday’s game very important for them and for their history. They will be aiming to make history by winning this year’s edition of the African Cup of Nations and will be hoping to scale through the first hurdle that awaits them against Tunisia at the 30 June Stadium in 2 days’ time. However, even though they are the only nation in the semifinal who haven’t won the trophy before, they are still a huge favorite to go through.

Tunisia

Tunisia, unlike Senegal, have won this competition once back in 2004. They are also a huge favorite to win this competition and will be looking to not only get the job done against Senegal but also add another AFCON trophy in their cabinet. Nevertheless, it will be a very difficult battle for them as Senegal have been superb in this competition so far.

Algeria vs Nigeria

Algeria

Algeria like Tunisia have also won the African Cup of Nations only once back in 1990. They have been really solid in this competition so far and are also strong favorites to clinch this edition of the AFCON trophy. They will be going up against the super eagles of Nigeria, a match that promises to be a stern battle for them. However, they have crossed other hurdles to get to this stage and will be hoping to do the same against Nigeria this Sunday.

Nigeria

Nigeria are the only nation remaining in this competition to have won it 3 times in the past, their most recent triumph was in 2013. They are probably the favorites in their fixture on paper, but only a minor difference as Algeria are a very strong team as well. A difficult battle awaits the super eagles, however, they have their eyes on the cup and will be looking forward to claiming their spot in the final this Sunday.
