This was a much-anticipated fixture as a lot of eyeballs was on it to witness how the two top English teams will fare against each other in an elimination round, and they didn’t disappoint as it was a cracking encounter for the neutrals.

It was an epic champions league night at the City of Manchester Stadium, both teams had everything to play for as one of them will for sure get eliminated.

Man City are doing excellently well this season, most especially in the premier league and are not relenting in their title race. They are aiming to win the premier league for the second time in a row and possibly win the treble this season. For Pep, he hasn’t won the champions league at any other club aside his Barca days which made this fixture very important for him and for the City fans who want to witness what it feels like to win club football’s most prestigious trophy.

Spurs have recovered recently ever since they move into their new stadium. They have gotten maximum points on their new ground. This was a massive fixture for them, to try to get the job done after getting the crucial 1 nil victory at home in the first leg. Nevertheless, it was still a huge mountain to climb as playing City at the Etihad isn’t an easy task for any team. For them, it was a heroic victory, and they now stand a chance to make history.

Mancity lineup in a 4-3-3 formation, while Spurs lineup in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. The game began and I have to say, this was one of the most intense start to a game the champions league has seen. End-to-end stuff and both teams wanting to take hold of the game in the first few minutes of the game. it was already 2-2 in just 10 minutes into the game before the dramatic ending decided the tie and leaving fans of both teams with contrasting emotions. What a game which will probably go on to become the game of the season.
