Liverpool

The reds are still in all major competitions this season and according to many, competitions that matter, even though their EFL Campaign was cut short by Aston Villa. The premier league title is pretty much wrapped up for them and anyone who thinks otherwise is pretty much high on something because the probability of them losing the title is even more difficult than them winning it as it stands now. With the premier league title wrapped up, they are one of the strong favorites to retain the champions league trophy and their FA Cup triumph yesterday against Shrewsbury means that they are also one of the heavy favorites to win the FA Cup this season as well.

We all know that Klopp has all his focus on winning Liverpool’s first premier league title and making history for the club, which meant that he had to line up “Kids” as some call that line up, to rest the senior players who have done remarkably well so far this season. His decision paid off as the so-called “kids” overcame Shrewsbury at Anfield to ensure that Liverpool faces Chelsea at the Bridge in the next round. I’m pretty sure that Klopp wouldn’t want to send kids to the bridge to face Chelsea and will in fact start taking this competition seriously from here on. With them being in all 3 major competitions, a lot of questions and talking points are currently going on whether the Reds are secretly aiming for a treble this season…

For me, I think so, maybe the FA Cup wasn’t one of their priorities this season but as they have somehow managed to reach this point, I think they are beginning to relish the opportunity of winning the FA Cup as well, which they are more than capable of, to be fair.

Looking at how things are going for them this season, I would be surprised if they win a treble this season, at the moment, they are only competition for the champions league and FA Cup, as the premier league is wrapped up if we are to be realistic. I think if they fail to win a treble this season, they would most likely win two trophies this season. They’ve been superb so far this season and finishing the season with only one trophy even though the premier league is their dream trophy, wouldn’t do justice to how fantastic they’ve been.

Do you think the Reds can win a treble this season?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
