Arsenal vs Everton

An amazing and exciting premier league weekend it has been with some very good results. As usual, there are still a couple of fixtures still left to play as Arsenal lock horns against Everton at home in less than 3 hours’ time.

Arsenal are coming from a crucial 3 points in their last premier league game after drawing 4 games in a row. It has been a very difficult season for the Gunners as they hope to turn things around as quickly as possible. At the moment, the Europa League is their only hope of making it into the champions league next season, so for them, they will be aiming to correct what they missed last season after losing the Finals to Chelsea, as they aim to come out victorious in this season’s Europa League campaign. While they await the second leg fixture in the Europa League, they are focused on getting back to back wins in the premier league as they host Everton at home. A difficult test for the Gunners against Ancelotti’s men who have improved a lot ever since he took charge as the manager. However, the odds are with Arsenal to get the job done at home.

Arsenal are expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. As the home side, they will most likely dominate possession and probably be the more attacking side.

Everton like I just said, have improved a lot since Ancelotti took charge as the new manager of the team, as they have gone on from being in the danger zones to being one of the favorites to finish in the top half of the table. At the moment, they are in a good form and are already on a run of back-to-back wins and will be aiming to make it 3 wins in a row when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in about 2 hrs time. The odds are currently against them to win against Arsenal, however, Everton are a really good team that can upset any premier league team on their day.

Everton are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. They love to play football as well, but at the same time, they also love to be very direct in their play depending on how the game turns out. Knowing that Arsenal are not doing great this season, this will give Everton the confidence going into this game as the aim for the crucial 3 points.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
