Brighton vs Watford

It is the ever-exciting Saturday as we sit back, relax and have some fun. Like I mentioned in my previous post, it is already clear that there wouldn’t be much premier league actions happening this week except for a few teams who are involved in their fixture this weekend. Coming up later today is the Brighton vs Watford fixture that will be taking place at the Falmer Stadium.

Brighton are one of the teams that are finding it difficult this season and are struggling at the moment. Their last 5 premier league matches have been poor, only 3 points out of 15 points. They are sitting in 15th position on the table currently and above the relegation zone, however, they are not far off the danger zone as they are just 2 points above the relegation zone which means that a loss could send them into the danger zone. The good news for them is that Watford aren’t any better in terms of form this season and also they are playing at home which can be a good confidence booster for them to try to earn the crucial 3 points.

Brighton will be expected to set up in their favorite 4-4-2 formation. Like some teams in the bottom half of the table, they like to play football and can play good football especially at home. So for them, they will be going into this game to dominate and of course try to get all 3 points.

Watford, on the other hand, are in a much more difficult situation at the moment. They are really struggling to get out of the relegation zone as they sit 19th on the table. It has been a very difficult season for Watford so far, however, there is still hope and optimism for them as there is still a good number of games still left to play and if there are able to string a couple of wins before the end of the season, they have a great chance of escaping the relegation zone. They stand a huge chance of moving closer of their aims when they face Brighton at the Falmer Stadium later today and for them, 3 points is very crucial and will take them outside the relegation zone at least for the time being.

Watford like some of the other premier league teams are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. For them, all that matters is 3 points and doesn’t matter how it comes. Nevertheless, they will be going into this game to win and possibly take control of the game.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
