West Ham vs Liverpool

The ever-exciting FA Cup 4th round has been completed as we await the next round fixtures. While we await the much-anticipated and exciting premier league matchday this weekend, Liverpool will be taking on West Ham for their outstanding showdown at the London Stadium. Liverpool are in cruise control at the moment and are running at a constant and steady speed. With the way they are flying high at the moment, it has now become a question of who can stop the Reds…

West Ham are in a very difficult position right now and looking at the premier league table, they are above the relegation zone but are technically in the relegation zone as they are just above based on goal difference. They stand a big chance of putting an actual gap between themselves and 17th position if the defy all odds and stop Liverpool’s flying form at home. Even though they are playing at home, they know how difficult this game and rightly so, the odds are strongly against them in this fixture. They are clearly the underdogs and could use that to their advantage and to motivate them to become the first team this season to inflict Liverpool with their first defeat after so many months. A tough task for them, but we all know that football is always full of surprises.

The Hammers will be going into this game to make life difficult for Liverpool and possibly to upset the Reds. They will be expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation and are also expected to set up with a low-block and to counter-attack and also utilize their set-piece prowess to cause Liverpool problems at home.

Liverpool have shown so far that they are here with full force and are not letting anything come in their way. As the current champions league trophy holder and current club world cup holder, the trophy that will complete the top-level pieces is the premier league title. They came very close to winning it last season, but somehow managed to fall short, however, this season has been totally different for them as they are not only going to win it, but are more than likely to win it in cruise control style. At the moment, it will only take the unthinkable to see the Reds throw away the title as they are not looking like a team to drop points any time soon. With the huge number of points separating them and the rest, they still have an outstanding game tomorrow against West Ham, a fixture they are expected to get all 3 points.

The Reds will be going into this game to win without a doubt and are expected to set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation. As we all know, they are one of the few teams in the country that have an identity when it comes to gameplay and will most likely play in their usual way when they face the Hammers at the London Stadium tomorrow.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
