Chelsea

It was the second leg of the Europa league cup final, as Chelsea vs Frankfurt at the bridge, to settle the scores that they started away in Germany.

Chelsea have gotten lots of ups and downs this season and have received lots of criticism from the fans and the media. Sarri was brought it to lead the team back to the champions league where they belong. They set out a target to finish in the top 4 and win the Europa League trophy this season, so far, they have achieved one of their main targets by beating Watford at the weekend, and have yet another opportunity to clinch the second target. For them, it hasn’t been an easy season considering the fact that they spent most parts learning and adapting to the way the manager wants his team to play. Nevertheless, they are almost close to achieving their main targets and when they do, the can safely consider the season a success.

Frankfurt were also having a downtime based on the results they’ve gotten in the league, winning just 1 game in their last 5 matches. They came into this competition as one of the underdogs, but have shown that their capabilities so far. They will be very disappointed to lose out on penalties against Chelsea after everyone wrote them off considering that Chelsea had the upper hand based on their away goal and playing at home, but Frankfurt has shown that in football, nothing is over until it is truly over.
