The ongoing FA Cup 4th round continues today as Arsenal will be completing the FA 4th round fixtures against Bournemouth away at the Dean Court.
Bournemouth are looking to build on their recent win in the premier league after going on a marathon of 4 losses in a row when they host Arsenal at home later today for their FA Cup 4th round fixture. It hasn’t been an easy season for both teams most especially for Bournemouth who are fighting in the relegation zone in the premier league and they will be hoping to get out of that danger zone soon. They are doing well in their FA Cup campaign so far and will be aiming to progress to the next round when they face Arsenal at home. This is without a doubt a very difficult fixture for Bournemouth even though they are playing at home, but at the same time a game that they can get the job done if they put in a top-quality performance.
Bournemouth are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation and are also expected to set up to counter-attack and try to utilize their set-piece qualities to get the job done against the Gunners.
Arsenal are without a doubt taking this FA Cup competition very seriously as they know that their chances of finishing in the top 4 is very slim especially with the likes of Man United and Spurs in the race. Winning the FA Cup this season will be regarded as a successful season for them as they had to go through very difficult periods. It hasn’t been a quick fix solution for them since they decided to appoint Arteta as the manager of the club, but they have since shown a lot of improvement in certain areas in their game. While they keep pushing for the top 4 ambitions in the premier league, the FA Cup still remains a very good trophy to add to their cabinet and water down what has been a somewhat difficult season for them, regardless of where they finish in the league. They will be going up against a familiar opponent in their FA Cup 4th round fixture against Bournemouth at the Dean Court. A very difficult opponent to play against for the Gunners but at the same time, the Gunners have all it takes to see this fixture out and make it to the next round.
Arsenal will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 formation, like we have seen so far, Arteta likes to keep possession of the ball and like his team to attack with intensity and aggression with or without the ball. So we will be expecting a similar gameplay against later today.
What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
