Liverpool vs Shrewsbury

The FA Cup 4th round replays kicks off tomorrow as we anticipate another exciting FA Cup matchday. Liverpool who were held to a 2-2 draw in their first leg meeting against Shrewsbury is set to host Shrewsbury for the replay leg at home as they aim to make it to the next round.

Liverpool will be licking their lips right now after Man City lost against Jose Mourinho’s Spurs in the premier league yesterday. The Man City loss means that Liverpool extend their lead at the top and are much closer to winning the title way before the final premier league matchday of the season. At the start of the season, the FA Cup was probably one of the least priority this season as they wanted to put all their focus on the premier league title, but from the look of things now and how many points lead they have at the top, they will most likely be relishing the opportunity to go all in for the FA Cup as well. They have a great opportunity to make it to the next round as they will be playing this replay at home.

The Reds is expected to set up in a 4-3-3 formation. Also, we are expecting to see a strong line up to get the job done as the premier league is almost impossible for them to lose at this point. They are expected to get a comfortable win at home.

Shrewsbury will be glad to stand another chance of going through to the next round after their last meeting against Liverpool saw them come from behind to take the game to replays. A very difficult game for them, but at the same time, they will be hoping that Klopp puts less focus in this competition and set up a weaker team which will give the away side a great opportunity to get a positive result at Anfield.

Shrewsbury are expected to set up in a 3-4-3 formation. Depending on the Liverpool line up, there is a greater chance of Shrewsbury going into this game to defend and counter-attack. A tough game for them but it is also not an impossible mission.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
