The FA Cup 4th round replay fixtures which kicks off later today will also extend tomorrow as Spurs will be hosting Southampton at home.
Spurs are currently over the moon at the moment after coming out on top against Man City in their premier league fixture last weekend. It was a fantastic win for them as they now move 4 points closer to the top 4. A great win for them as they now turn their attention for their FA Cup showdown against Southampton tomorrow. Their first meeting ended in a draw which meant that the tie has to be decided in the replay leg. The good news for Spurs is that they will be playing at home this time as they now have the upper hand to make it to the next round.
Spurs are expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and with their current overflowing confidence, they are also expected to get the job done at home. In terms of gameplay, nothing much when Jose is concerned as he is all about the win and everything that would make sure he gets the job done no matter how the teams play.
Southampton are coming from a defeat in their last premier league fixture and will be aiming to put that loss aside and put all their focus on their FA Cup clash against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later tomorrow. This is a very tough match for them, however, they have all it takes to get the job done in this fixture. The Saints will be going into this game to win and to progress to the next round which will be a remarkable achievement for them, so for them, it is all about determination and putting in a top-level performance.
Southampton are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. They are a team that is very good at direct football and can be very dangerous when it comes to counter-attacks and set pieces, which will be their key weapons to hurt Spurs.
What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
