Hello everyone, it is another awesome day again, the weather is a bit hot over here, and the atmosphere is calm and everything going well…
Lol… don’t mind the title of this post… that is me trying to be funny… but I know it isn’t even close to being funny…
Lukaku missed a sitter on Sunday match day encounter against Burnley…
On Sunday saw Manchester United face Burnley who are usually very compact and hard to beat at home… as seen last season as top teams found it very difficult to break them at home…
Manchester United were clearly the better team as they were seriously under pressure to perform coming from two defeats in a row, which had never happened since over 22 years…
From the kickoff whistle, Manchester United kept on pushing the Burnley team back and were looking for that precious goal… burnley were clearly not ready for the game…
Finally, the goal came as Sanchez crossed a superb ball into the path of lukaku in the box and lukaku only had one job to do… which is to head the ball home… he did that excellently…
Happy moment for the fans and Jose Mourinho specifically…
The United team didn’t sit back… they kept on pushing for the second goal which saw pogba miss a penalty after making it obvious for the keeper where he was going to put the ball…
Finally, the second goal came after scrappy defending by the Burnley defenders which allowed the ball to fall to the foot of lukaku as he fires home for the second…
This time, it is was game over… you could see that from the expressions of Jose Mourinho and all the staffs with a sigh of relief…
NOW TO THE MOMENT OF FOCUS…
A clear through ball was played to the path of lukaku to run onto… using his speed and strength, he was able to get the ball, 1v1 against the goalkeeper… he rounded the goalkeeper sweetly…
Immediately he beat the goalkeeper… there was only one thing to do… JUST PUT THE BALL IN THE NET… lukaku said no… I won’t… I want to exercise my strength and take another touch…
He did what his mind told him to do… and the onrushing defender had enough time to put in a clean clearing tackle to put the ball away…
That miss got everyone screaming… even my dog would score that… lol…
Looks like lukaku is really enjoying his misses… anyways… let’s just hope this is the last time he misses such an easy chance again.
