In a matter of hours, the much-anticipated and ever-exciting EPL matchday kicks off. Tomorrow is premier league matchday 22 and it so amazing how we have come this far without even realizing. Everything seems to happy really fast. Leicester City is set to host Southampton at home tomorrow as they continue to impress and keep fighting to secure a remarkable top 4 finish.
Leicester City have been really impressive this season and are probably the second most impressive team behind Liverpool who have been nothing short of outstanding. There is still a long way to go before the end of the season, however, with the way they are going this season and the position they are currently at, they would only have themselves to blame if they don’t eventually secure a top 4 finish this season. That is their major goal for now as the title race is only in the hands of Liverpool to lose. The foxes continue their quest tomorrow against Southampton at home as they look to make it 3 wins in a row. A tough game for them but at the same time, they are expected to get the win at the Kind Power Stadium.
Expected Formation and tactics… Leicester City will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. They have shown under Rodgers that they can play like a top team. They will be looking to control the game and utilize their attacking and counter-attacking qualities to get the job done against Southampton.
Southampton have picked themselves up again after a somewhat difficult period. They are unbeaten in their last 4 premier league games and their last 4 games have seen them rack up 10 points out of 12. Their form is good at the moment and they will be looking to extend their good form against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tomorrow. A win in this game could see them jump to 10th position on the table, however, they need to avoid defeat in this game to avoid falling down the table. A very tough game for the saints against a team who are super impressive. Notwithstanding, Southampton has all it takes to upset the big 6 let alone teams outside the big 6. Looking at their recent form, we should expect a Southampton team that will be aiming for all 3 points at the Kind Power Stadium and in worst-case scenario, not lose.

Their gameplan will most likely be to nullify Leicester City’s threats and also to make it difficult for them to get control of the game. They will be looking to utilize their quality in long balls, counter-attacks and set pieces to hurt Leicester City.
