Liverpool vs West Ham United

We’ve witnessed some amazing premier league performances this past 2 days and I must say, the heat is still very much on till the final premier league game of the season. Coming up later today is the continuation of matchday 27 as Liverpool set for another 3 points when they host West Ham at home.

Liverpool are on their way to making history as they are just about 11 games more to play before the end of this premier league season. Without a doubt, they have been the most superior EPL team this season and are not surprisingly the only team that is yet to lose a game this season, winning 25 out of 26 games and are already relishing the opportunity of making it 26 wins later today against West Ham United. As expected, the odds in favour of Liverpool to get the 3 points at home is like day and night.

The Reds are expected to go into this game in their usual 4-3-3 formation. As I normally say when it comes to Liverpool and gameplay, there is nothing much to say concerning how Liverpool will set up and approach this game as they have a certain way of playing.

West Ham’s form compared to that of Liverpool is like day and night as the Hammers haven’t won any game yet in their last 5 premier league games. To make matters worse, they are sitting 18th on the table and have made themselves one of the relegation candidates this season. At the moment, they are faced with good news and bad news at the same time… the good news is that, they can move out of the relegation zone if the manage to get 3 points against Liverpool at Anfield later today, as a draw wouldn’t be enough to put them above the relegation zone. However, the bad news for them is that they are playing a team who haven’t lost any single game since last season, and have won 25 games out 26 games at their own ground. The probability of West Ham getting a win against Liverpool at Anfield is nearly impossible.

The Hammers will most likely go into this game in a 4-1-4-1 formation or a 4-4-2 formation. It is already obvious that West Ham are expected to set up to counter-attack and also aim to capitalize on set-pieces as a way to cause Liverpool problems, as we all know that Liverpool will most likely dominate major aspects of the game at home.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
