Liverpool vs Watford

Saturday is here again and the ever-exciting premier league action begins in a matter of hours. It’s matchday 17 as there are lots of much-anticipated premier league match actions. Coming up next is the Liverpool vs Watford game at Anfield as Liverpool set to continue their unbeaten run and superb form against Watford.

Liverpool as we already know are having one of their best ever seasons in the premier league. They are currently the only team that looks like they will be running away with the premier league title as there are no real title contenders this so far. The reds are seriously looking to make history this season by winning the premier league and so far, they are not looking like anything is going to hold them back from crossing the finish line they narrowly missed out of last season by just a single point. They will be continuing their quest at home against Watford who are in a really terrible situation at the moment and for Liverpool, they are without a doubt the heavy favourites to get a comfortable 3 points at home when the fixture kicks off as early kick-off.

Expected formation and tactics – Liverpool will be expected to set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation. As usual, Klopp will want his team to remain focus and not be complacent. Their gameplan will most likely remain the same as they will try to control the game and utilize their attacking qualities to get the comfortable 3 points.

Watford are in a really poor situation at the moment and are currently sitting rock bottom in the premier league table. This season hasn’t gone well for them at all, however, it is not too late for them to crawl out of the relegation zone, as there is still enough time to gain enough points to secure survival. They face a very difficult game against Liverpool who haven’t lost a single game this season at Anfield, a game that they odds are seriously against them to get anything things out of. Nonetheless, it is not an impossible task for them as they are still able to upset Liverpool, as a point would be considered a fabulous result for them.

Expected formation and tactics – Watford will be expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. This is a very crucial game for them and at the same time, a very tough game, however, they would try to get a result from the game. Their gameplan will be to try to capitalize on counter-attacking opportunities and set pieces to upset Liverpool.
