So far so good, the much-anticipated premier league matchday 25 has been going on pretty well and as always, very exciting. Liverpool are set to host Southampton at home today as they look to maintain their unbeaten run of consecutive wins.
Liverpool are still flying higher and higher each week, and I know this is beginning to sound like a broken record, the fact still remains that Liverpool are getting better and better and are not looking like a team that will slip anytime soon. They will be facing Southampton in a matter of hours at home, a game they are expected to get nothing short of 3 points. The odds are clearly in their favour as their form this season has shown that they will continue to be favorites in all the fixtures going forward, except they somehow backslides.
The Reds are expected to set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation and as always, they are expected to dominate the ball at home, attack and create enough chances to get the job done.
Southampton have somehow bounced back after having some difficult moment few months ago. They have now moved up the table and thanks to the poor results of the other teams around them, they sit 9th on the table. They will be facing a very difficult game at Anfield in few hours time, a game that a draw will be considered a remarkable result for them. Nonetheless, nothing is impossible and as we all know, football is full of surprises and like we have seen in the past and even though they are not expected to get any result out of this fixture, they are still more than capable of upsetting Liverpool at Anfield.
The Saints are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. As the underdog, they will most likely set up to counter-attack and utilize their prowess during set pieces to cause Liverpool problems.
