An exciting battle that had the eyes of fans all over the world.

Liverpool haven’t won a trophy for so many years and this was a perfect opportunity for them to deservedly win the champions league trophy after coming out second best last season against Real Madrid. This season has been phenomenal for them both domestically and in the champions league. However, they have made their season even more phenomenal by coming out victorious against Spurs to win the trophy, their 6th champions league trophy as a club. A great moment for them to cap what has been a highly successful season. For Klopp this was another opportunity for him to add the champions league trophy to his CV as he has failed in the various final occasions he had been at. He has finally done it and now ranks amongst the top of the top managers in world football.

Spurs started the season a bit sloppy but later picked up and looked like real title contenders, only to fall apart at the later stages of the season and only managed to narrowly secure 4th position in the premier league. This season’s champions league edition has been memorable for them especially their dramatic comeback against Ajax to reach the final. It was a great opportunity for them to make history and also to gain bragging rights over Arsenal but will be highly disappointed to have failed in their first ever champions league final. Nevertheless, they have done really well so far and will draw a lot of positives from this season and look forward to doing greater things next season.
