Manchester City vs Burnley

It was a thing of joy for fans all over the world for football actions to return again despite the whole pandemic currently going on and the long break due to the outbreak. Nonetheless, regardless of football halted for a few months, players are beginning to get back to the field again and continue from where they left off. Yes, things aren’t the same like it used to be prior the pandemic and no fans to light up the atmosphere during games, however, all that matter, for now, is that football is back again and fans can see their favourite teams play football again after such a long time waiting.

Premier League fans are probably the most excited and being arguably the most exciting league in the world, there is doubt why a lot of fans couldn’t wait for premier league actions to resume again like other leagues did and were so excited for premier league actions to be back again. So far so good, everything is looking good in the premier league and the in-game excitements is slowly returning. This week hasn’t been great for a lot of teams in terms of results, most especially the teams fighting for the top 4. Only Chelsea were able to get the job done in their top 4 race to give themselves more space to breath in the race.

As expected as there will be so many games to play in short intervals in order to quickly get over this season and be ready for next season. Coming up later today, Man City who began their EPL resumption with a comfortable win over Arsenal who has continued to disappoint the fans when it comes to getting results, will be locking horns against Burnley at home as they look to continue in winning ways…

Man City are expected to get the job done at home against Burnley… However, it might not be an easy game for the citizens as we all know what Burnley are all about on their day and also considering the fact there will be nothing as home fans that adds to the home advantage to some of the top teams. Like we saw in their restart game against Arsenal, they haven’t forgotten how to play football and will be expected to dominate every aspect of the game against Burnley. As always, Man City will most likely set up in a 4-3-3 formation and pep will want his team to continue the momentum before their big game against Chelsea later in the week.

Burnley will be kicking off their first game this EPL resumption and for them, it will be an extremely difficult game considering that Man City have already had a game before and will be in a much better rhythm compared to Burnley. We are expecting Burnley to set up in a 5-4-1 or a 4-4-2 and will most likely pack the bus in the game to try to use their counter-attack, set-piece and aerial prowess to cause City a lot of problems. A very difficult game for Burnley away from home and if they manage to get a result at the Etihad, it will be a remarkable result for them.

Looking at things as it has gone so far, I don’t see Burnley getting a result away against Man City who will be much sharper as far as football is concerned. If care is not taken, we might see an annihilation at the Etihad. However, we all know that football can be full of surprises and Burnley could go on to become a tough nut to crack against City like we know they can be on their day.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
